Website checker terms & free limits
Last updated: September 2026
What the website checker is
Our free website checker is available on this website, in our Chrome extension, in the widget that site owners can embed, and through our public API. It offers two checks: “Website errors”, which looks at a whole website (SSL, domain, WordPress, security settings, email records and speed), and “SEO audit”, which looks at the one page you enter the way a search engine reads it.
Reports are created automatically from information that anyone can see on the internet. By using the checker, the extension or the widget, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Free limits
- Without an account: you can run 50 checks per website within 30 days. Website error checks and SEO audits count together. Opening a report you already ran does not count again. We count checks by an anonymous ID (a cookie on this website, or an ID kept by the extension or widget) and by IP address, so people who share one network may share the same limit.
- Free account: sign up free to keep checking. A free account keeps up to 50 reports in “My reports”. When it is full, remove a report to run a new check. A removed report is only hidden from your list; its link keeps working. Reports you ran before signing up move into your account when you log in.
- Care plans: customers with an active Basic, Pro or Business care plan have unlimited checks and a full report history. If the plan ends, your history stays, and the free account limit applies again to new checks.
- Fair use for everyone: at most 30 checks can be started per hour from one IP address, including by paying customers. This protects the checker and the websites it reads.
Acceptable use
Please check websites you own, manage, or are allowed to review. You must not use the checker to overload or attack any website, to get around the free limits (for example with many accounts or changing IP addresses), or to collect reports in bulk through automated scripts. The public API is meant for our own extension and widget. We may block visitors, networks, accounts or embedding sites that misuse the service, without notice.
How we check websites
Our servers read only public pages and public records (such as DNS and SSL certificates), like a normal visitor would. We never fill in forms, log in, or try to break into a website. One check sends a small, capped number of requests to the website. To keep load low, a recent report for the same website (or the same page, for SEO audits) may be reused for up to 12 hours instead of checking again.
Reports and sharing
Each report has its own hard-to-guess link. Anyone who has the link can open the report and its PDF, so share it only with people you trust. When you use “Send this report to my developer”, we email the link and the PDF to the address you enter, once.
Chrome extension
The extension sends only the address of the tab you are on, and only when you press the check button. It asks for two permissions: “activeTab”, to read that one address when you click, and “storage”, to remember your chosen check type, your recent report links and an anonymous ID for the free limit on your own computer. It does not read your browsing history, other tabs, page content, form fields or passwords, and it shows no ads.
Embeddable widget
Website owners may add the free checker widget to their own sites with the code on our widget page. Please keep the widget unchanged, including the “Powered by Rejoice Software” credit. Visitors who use the widget on your site follow these terms and the same free limits. We may switch off the widget on sites that misuse it.
Accuracy and no warranty
The checker is an automated tool. It can miss problems and can sometimes report a problem that is not real. A report is not a full security audit, a penetration test, or a promise of search rankings. The checker is provided “as is”, and you use the results at your own risk. If you want help, open a ticket or ask us for a free quote before making changes.
Changes to these terms
We may change the free limits and these terms. The limits shown on this page are always the ones that currently apply. Questions? Write to us at info@rejoicesoftware.in.
